Creating a Candle Web/Wish Candles

Candles form a natural connection between people in different places and times.

• At dusk, near a window or in a sheltered part of your garden, light a single pure beeswax candle.

• Look through the candle flame into the darkness and visualise the light beam extending towards a person you love who is far away.

• Visualise him or her in the flame and send words of love or reconciliation if you are estranged – you may see an image of the absent person in the flame or clearly in your mind. These psychic images are rather like a small moving picture on a television screen.

• Picture next a man or woman who has a similar life to your own, perhaps a working mother in a city apartment or someone living and working in remote countryside. He or she may live in the next state or a thousand miles away.

• Again an image may form in your mind’s eye and you can speak words of friendship.

• Next peer backwards through time, perhaps to a known ancestor after whom you were named or who family history says you resemble or an even remoter kin who perhaps came from another land - again speak words from your heart This time the image may be shadowy,

• Finally move forward in time to a yet unborn descendant who bears your name or who shares your dreams. Send him or her words of wisdom and you may see the candle flame flicker slightly.

• You have now created a candle web, connecting you through others who gaze, have or will look into this most magical source of light and power.

You can, as have people in many lands, use the candle to make connection at the same time on a particular day of the week, allowing for time zone differences, with friends and family throughout the world. Often as I stand at my kitchen window at 11pm making a late night drink when the house is silent, I feel connected with all the other people especially who are spending a few minutes quietly after a long day and I light a candle and as I try to spend a minute or two feeling suddenly less lonely.

You can access the wisdom and knowledge of the past through candle divination or call upon a lover as yet un-revealed or a child whose spirit may be hovering near to enter your life if you want a baby.
